Walther WA2000 7.62x51mm 25.6-inch
The Walther WA2000 is the rarest and most technically sophisticated production sniper rifle of the 20th century. A semi-automatic bullpup with a fluted stainless barrel in a gas-piston mechanism, it was designed for German police anti-terrorist use in an era when bolt-action snipers were considered too slow for rapid, precise hostage-rescue shots. Fewer than 200 were produced before cost made further manufacture impractical. Routinely cited as the most collectible production sniper rifle ever made.
