Westley Richards Express Rifle 450 Black Powder

Westley Richards produced black-powder Express double rifles from the 1860s, participating in the development of the Express cartridge tradition that preceded nitro-powder dangerous-game loads. The 450 Black Powder Express was one of the most widely used large-bore sporting cartridges of the Victorian era, and Westley Richards' production of it in Damascus-barreled double rifles established the company's expertise in regulated dangerous-game doubles that would carry through into the nitro era.
