History: Developed by CheyTac in 2002 as a lighter-recoiling alternative to .408 CheyTac. Necking down .408 to .375 provided better barrel life and less recoil while maintaining extreme range capability. Less popular than .408 but used by some precision shooters who want less recoil. Provides ballistic performance between .338 Lapua and .408 CheyTac.
